Narcolepsy and the Quad

A couple strengthening each other's weaknesses through God's love and life's lessons.

Too much time lost worrying…

Matthew 6:34
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”

This is one of my favorite verses. I can tell you many stories revolving around this verse. I use to find myself worrying about the future a lot. I would imagine how I wanted things to work out but we all know life doesn’t work out that way. I was especially worried about the future after my accident happened. How can I be a husband or father with my disability? What good will I be? How will I support my family? It took many years to finally realize that God’s taken care of tomorrow. Whatever troubles come our way must happen for a reason. When I finally realized this my life really changed. I had so much more peace and my faith was able to increase without all that interruption and stress in my life.

We are all going to go through tough times in our lives. But you have to get back up and keep going no matter what happens. It’s not easy and I can vouch for that but God has a plan for each and everyone of us. We can turn to him and find strength because he is always with us and he is going to pick you up. This is how we grow spiritually. You can make it through the valley and you will reach the mountain… you will reach it. Look above and beyond your circumstance. If you are not enjoying life, you are looking at it from the wrong perspective. God sees our timeline and knows what we have to go through in order to get to that glorious point he has planned for us. He has a glorious plan! Keep pushing… keep getting up and going… you will make it! Don’t let future troubles keep you down. Live today!

Another verse that goes hand-in-hand with the one up top is –

Philippians 4:6
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

It speaks for itself but I have learnt that prayer is crucial in a relationship with God especially when we’re worrying about things. Have faith that it’s going to work out. I just felt that I needed to share this with everyone. I know this is short but I’ve been swamped with work and I’m also prepping for going to GSU in August. I am working on my other blog though 🙂 You are awesome, God bless you!
