Narcolepsy and the Quad

A couple strengthening each other's weaknesses through God's love and life's lessons.

Narcolepsy and the Quad: The Start.

So, this is my first blog post and I have no idea what I am doing or why I am doing it. I’m not a writer or a blogger. In fact, I suck at spelling and still haven’t figured out how to even use a semicolon correctly–thank you Montgomery County Board of Education. Shoot, I’m not even interesting. I am probably the least likely person to even start a blog. But, I guess I am hoping that sharing my life will be an outlet for me. Or maybe, MAYBE, encourage someone struggling at the moment. So, for those few who are bored and have absolutely nothing else to do with their time, I will introduce my not-so-exciting-why-am-I-still-reading-this life.

Let me start by saying, I have an amazingly good looking husband. Probably THE most handsome man to ever roll the earth. But of course, I do have a thing for a man in a wheelchair. Devyn, ‘the quad’, has been a quadriplegic for seven years. And yes, I did ask his permission after he jokingly suggested the title for this blog; which sounds more like the worst idea ever for a comic book adventure series. Lucky for me, he has an awesome sense of humor. We will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary in April. Unfortunately, my narcolepsy didn’t reveal itself until a few months ago. And if you didn’t know, narcolepsy and quadriplegia do not get along well with each other. It’s probably in the top ten worst combinations ever invented.

I hope to post soon on how the Lord is teaching us through each other’s strengths and weaknesses, including the irritating third wheel-narcolepsy.
